Chelsey Ebert was someone who typifies the spirit of the scholarship.  Chelsey attended Ferndale High School from 2006 – 2007 and participated in Varsity volleyball and basketball.  She was an excellent student and athlete, as a freshman Chelsey lettered in basketball, which was a huge highlight and accomplishment for her.

Her memory will live on and is an example of what this scholarship is all about.  Chelsey was a first class individual who represented herself admirably, loved her family so very much and felt it was an Honor to represent Ferndale schools.  She lived life to the fullest and truly cared about people and went out of her way to help those in need.

In addition to her scholarships, her memory lived on in 2008 and 2009 with lots more commitments that include:

• Support for the children Bikers Fighting Cancer adopted.  

• Support for local Volleyball players attend Summer Christian Camps.

• Sponsoring of Make-A-Wish Trips.

• Currently working on new Basketball scoreboards for Ferndale High School gym.

• 50 Build- a-Bears with clothes and all the fun things that go along with the bears were donated to Children’s hospital cancer ward in Seattle, Washington. Her sister Jordan personally built each of these bears to bring Chelsey's support and love to each bear.

• Would like to increase amount of school scholarships in other counties and amount donated to each recipient.
