The Pretty in Pink Walk

Every year, a different set of Ferndale high school senior girls takes on the task of organizing the Pretty In Pink Walk. The walk begins at the Ferndale Haggen, runs down LaBounty Drive, continues past Hovander Park, and the comes back to Haggen via Main Street.

The event has brought together many communities and hundreds of people together to raise money for this terrible disease. Over the past four years, it have raised over $40,000.00!  All of the proceeds are given to another non-profit organization, the Northwest Sarcoma Foundation (www.nwsarcomca.org).

The Northwest Sarcoma Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to improving cure rates for sarcomas, making the Pacific Northwest a research and clinical care leader through academic and community initiatives to serve as the paradigm for sarcoma research. The Northwest Sarcoma Foundation holds a walk every year named the “Dragonslayer Walk” that the family of Chelsey Ebert and the seniors who organized the walk attend and present a check to the head surgeon of Childrens Hospital. Chelsey Rae Ebert was such an amazing person and had such an amazing faith and gave so much inspiration to all and we as a foundation hope to keep doing the same for other families going through the same battle!
